The LT-3 is Tilley’s light-weight alternative to the T-3 hat with underbrim. The nylon is Teflon-coated making it water repellent, in other words rain resistant. The medium sized brim measurements are: Front and Back 2 3/4″, Sides-2 3/8″, providing great sun protection. The underbrim provides glare reduction from water, pavement, and the sands of the beach or desert. The snaps on the brim are made of English brass and snap-up Aussie style. Available color combination: Khaki with an Olive underbrim. THE TILLEY HAT IS DESIGNED TO BE WORN LOW ON YOUR HEAD AND SLIGHTLY LOOSE. IT SHOULD BE HELD ON BY GRAVITY, NOT BY PAINFUL PRESSURE ON YOUR FOREHEAD. TILLEY SUGGESTS THAT YOU PURCHASE THE HAT ONE SIZE LARGER THAN YOUR REGULAR HAT SIZE. When it’s windy, use the wind cord.
